57 - WISHBONE ASH entstand aus der Gruppe Tangelewood und bestand in der ersten Besetzung aus den Brüdern Martin (Bass, Gesang) und Glen (Gitarre, Gesang) Turner und Steve Upton am Schlagzeug. Während der Suche nach einem Keyboarder verließ Glen Turner die Gruppe. Einn Keyboarder fanden sie nicht, aber dafür die zwei Gitarristen Andy Powel und Ted Turner. Da sie sich zwischen den beiden nicht entscheiden konnten, genierten sie als erste Gruppe einen Stil mit zwei Leadgitarren, Bass und Schlagzeug.
In der Anfangsphase waren die Texte sehr religiös geprägt mit einem melodiösen Gesangsstiel.
Die Doppel LP LIVE DATES erschien 1973. Heute spiele ich die erste LP und in zwei Wochen folgt dann die zweite LP.
