Die Geschichte von Kraftwerk beginnt vor 53 Jahren als sich Ralf Hütter und Florian Schneider-Esleben (später nur noch Florian Schneider) im Jahr 1968 an der Kunstakademie in Remscheid kennenlernten. Beide interessierten sich für improvisierte Avantgarde-Musik und gründeten ein Musikprojekt mit dem Namen "Organisation". Im Jahr 1970 benannte sich die Band in "Kraftwerk" um und veröffentlichte ein gleichnamiges Album. Noch weit weg von dem was Kraftwerk später als Pioniere des Elektro-Pop berühmt und erfolgreich werden ließ, war die Musik dieser Zeit noch stark experimentell, wirkt teils improvisiert, etwas schrill und wird dem Genre Krautrock zugeordnet. Der monotone Beat und die kühlen Arrangements ließen zumindest schon etwas erahnen, in welche Richtung sich die Musik einige Jahre später entwickeln würde. Im November 1970 traten Kraftwerk in der Formation Ralf Hütter (geb. 1946; Hammond-Orgel), Klaus Dinger (geb. 1946, gest. 2008; Schlagzeug) und Florian Schneider-Esleben (geb. 1947, gest. 2020; Querflöte und Vibraphone) in Soest zu einem Konzert auf, das seinerzeit fürs WDR-Fernsehen aufgezeichnet wurde.  Der Mitschnitt wurde 2014 als inoffizieller Release auf CD und Vinyl veröffentlicht. Wir spielen das Album heute in AAS und füllen die Stunde um einen aktuellen Titel auf.
