Arabic Beats

Arabische Musik unterscheidet sich dann schon deutlich von der gewohnten Westeuropäischen, auch in der Popmusik. Fabiano war im März, bevor die Revolution in Syrien ausgebrochen ist, dort für eine Bildungsreise. Seitdem lässt ihn der Sound nicht mehr los. Diese Sendung ist ein Zwischenstand seiner musikalischen Recherchen, die sicherlich noch lange andauern werden.

The Sound of :: Flussmeisterei

Am 9. Juli startet die Bar an der Donau, die Flussmeisterei in das Sommerprogramm. Dieses Jahr gibts neben alten Bekannten wie die Deep-Dive-Corp und Keko Yoma auch neue Gesichter wie Coconami aus München oder Lica Tito aus Brasilien. Viel Musik und Infos zum Rahmenprogramm sind natürlich auch mit dabei.

Eigentlich sollte das eine reine "The Sound of :: Uptown Strut" werden. Das Magazin präsentiert quartalsweise Themen aus Funk n Soul. Da gibts unteranderem was von Charles Bradley, sowie Cumbia und Bossa Nova. Heute Abend ist aber auch CallYa aus Stuttgart im Hemperium, sowie Ladi6 morgen im Frau Berger. Und Gil-Scott Heron hat vor zwei Wochen die Musikwelt für immer verlassen, für ihn noch ein Tribut Mix.

Äl Jawala + Musikredaktion

Der Samstag wird zweigeteilt. In der ersten Stunde kommt der Mann ins Studio, der bei free FM für den frischen Sound sorgte. Tobias Husch ist bei uns Musikredakteur und damit verantwortlich für die musikalische Auswahl im Tagesprogramm. Fabiano und er werden in unregelmäßigen Abständen auch mal schauen, was Tobias privat so hört.

Die zweite Häfte ab 16 Uhr gehört dem Sound von Äl Jawala, die sind gerade auf Deutschlandtour und spielen am Samstagabend im Sauschdall. Ihre Stilrichtung bezeichnen sie selbst als "Balkan Big Beat" und passt damit genau in die Ulmer Partyszene. Markus wird gemeinsam mit Fabiano auch die Einflüsse der Band erkunden. Und natürlich erklingt Sound von Äl Jawala. jawala

Ulmer Zelt

Dieses Jahr steht bereits zum 25. Mal das große Zelt in der Friedrichsau und wird für sechs Woche vom 18.05-02.07 wieder jede Woche Künstler aus allen Genres und Himmelsrichtungen präsentieren. Um durch das musikalische Programm zu führen, holt sich Fabiano die Pressereferentin Carolyn Amman und den künstlerischen Leiter Lars Frick in die Sendung.
